Free Writing Process

During my free writing I had to take a step back and first think if I wanted to write about my own experience or something else. Did I want to write my story leaning towards a more positive side or describe the gleam negative impacts this pandemic has caused? What kind of American story do I want to portray? Definitely a lot of ideas going through my mind since it is an issue that is currently taking place. Besides what I have been going through as an individual, I personally have see the impact this has made on so many people in different angles. I have a friend who lost a loved one due to the virus, another who just gave birth and is struggling to protect her baby, another who changed their wedding date, another who won’t get to experience their high school prom, many including myself who’ve lost their jobs, and so many other situations. As a country we are all going through difficult hardships in this time. I sat for some time thinking about how I can write to portray something many Americans can relate too. Overall, it was interesting to take a moment and think of what is happening in a larger sense of everyone as a whole and I hope I do well in displaying it in my final project.
